Parking: The available parking at the Old Storybook Island Shelter is very limited. We recommend parking at the ballfield parking lots. Enter off of Canyon Lake Dr. or Sheridan Lake Rd. Dogs & Strollers:
We ask if you bring a pet or are using a stroller than you start out in the rear of the "Flock" and enjoy the "traditional' course out to Park Dr. and back. We hope to continue a safe running/walking environment for all. Thank you!
Where does your money go?
The BHRC Turkey Trot is a fundraiser to support community youth running, running scholarships, running camps Such items as running shoes/gear to youth without these items so they may participate in their local/school running programs are also funded. Any extra monies go toward purchases that benefit the fitness community such as the new RaceClock. The RaceClock is used by the entire western SD running community ( many, many races outside of the BHRC ) , other fitness user groups, schools and camps free of charge. If you know of an interested group, are an event director for youth in need: please see our 'Scholarship' application form link on our main page. If you are an event director interested in using the RaceClock please contact the Runners Shop to reserve/check out the Clock. |
